Charani, Deepti make big gains in ICC Women’s T20I Rankings

India’s spin duo of Sree Charani and Deepti Sharma have made major moves in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings.

Charani has strengthened her position at the top of the bowling table, while Deepti has climbed four spots to second. Shafali Verma has also gained ground in the batting rankings.

Charani crosses 800-point mark

Sree Charani has reached a career-best 804 rating points in the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings.

The left-arm spinner became the first Indian to cross the 800-point mark in the women’s T20I rankings. Her rise came after a strong show in the Women’s Asia Cup.

Charani took four wickets in the final against Sri Lanka. She finished the tournament with 12 wickets and played a key role in India’s title-winning campaign.

Her 804 points are the highest ever achieved by an Indian player in the ICC batting or bowling rankings. She has also moved close to the highest rating ever recorded by a women’s T20I bowler.

Deepti moves up to second

Deepti Sharma has made an even bigger jump on the latest T20I bowling rankings list.

The India all-rounder has moved up four places to second after finishing as the leading wicket-taker in the Women’s Asia Cup. Deepti claimed 14 wickets in the tournament.

She also produced a strong spell in the final, taking 3/19 against Sri Lanka. India now have the top two bowlers in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings.

Deepti had earlier reached the No. 1 spot in December last year. Her latest rise puts her close to Charani at the top of the table.

Shafali also gains ground

Shafali Verma has moved up one place to sixth in the ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings.

She was the leading run-scorer in the Women’s Asia Cup, finishing with 236 runs. Her performances helped India win the tournament and secure another major boost in the updated rankings.

Shafali is now just four points behind Smriti Mandhana, who remains fifth among T20I batters.
